Find out what kind of inspection is being requested
A permit inspection confirms an authority’s requirements for the permitted work. A buyer or insurer may instead be asking for a condition assessment or a particular report. Obtain the written request and confirm who is qualified to provide it. One type of report does not automatically replace another.
Read the permit history before choosing a fix
Gather the reroof permit number, inspection results, correction comments, and contractor information. Determine whether the record shows a missed stage, failed inspection, outstanding document, expired permit, or simply a missing copy in your own files. The next action depends on that distinction.
Do not assume photos solve a missed stage
Collect the progress photos, material and installation records, and professional documents already available. The City of Orlando’s roof guidance explains that a missed in-progress inspection may affect final approval and may require roof-covering removal for inspection. Requirements for your case must be confirmed with the issuing authority; an online service cannot promise acceptance of photographs or an affidavit.
Put the deadline and the records together
Explain whether the issue affects a sale, insurance request, or project closeout. Send the documents to the people responsible for determining the next step. Keep the department’s permit decision separate from what a buyer or insurer requires for its own purposes.
How we can coordinate the next step
The Permit Expert can organize permit records, outstanding requirements, department follow-up, and appropriately qualified professional sourcing. Email the address, permit number, inspection record, roof details, photos, written request, and target date. Any site evaluation, report, engineering, corrective work, or required access is separately identified before proceeding.
